Impeachable Offenses
The current President of the United States and Secretary of Homeland Security both took oaths to uphold our Constitution. In simple southern vernacular . . . they ain't!

Consider the events of April 19, 1775 at a place called Lexington Green in Massachusetts. As the British landed and were marching inland towards Concord for the purpose of destroying a weapons and armaments factory, men of valor prepared and answered the call to arms. The British military was the most powerful land force the world knew. Yet, those Sons of Liberty knew there was something at stake: liberty from tyranny. And so, they took the field of Lexington Green and fired the shot that was heard around the world.
History has taught us what happens when a nation's population is rendered defenseless.
A discussion of sacrifice, remembrance, and why we should say "Honor Memorial Day" instead of "Happy Memorial Day."
What happened in Buffalo was horrendous. But the politicized exploitation and hypocrisy of the left is just as horrible.
The ideological agenda of the progressive socialist left supports killing American babies in the womb and killing Americans via drug overdoses. If we do not restore our regard for the rule of law, our Constitution, our future is in question.
Okay, it is now two weeks in a row that the progressive socialist left has been in an apoplectic meltdown. Last week it was all about a federal judge in Florida saying what everyone knew to be true: the CDC doesn't have authority to mandate anything to the American people. Yes, if you want to don a face covering, you have the liberty to do so. If you do not, you cannot be forced, or coerced, to do so. Hmm, I tend to believe that same principle applies to mandating a shot. This week, the left is going nuts because one Elon Musk, a private entrepreneur, has purchased Twitter. Heavens to mergatroids, the world is coming to an end. Yes, the empty threats of getting off Twitter and moving to Canada pervade, neither of which will happen. Leftists did not care about Musk starting Tesla, and the government subsidies that come with buying electric vehicles. Leftists did not care when Jeff Bezos bought the Washington Post, where truth does tend to die in their darkness. Leftists had no problem with Michael Bloomberg -- what political persuasion is he today? -- bought an entire news media platform. Leftists have no issue with Mark Zuckerberg owning Facebook/Meta, whatever, and using his war chest to give Zuckerbucks to selected County elections offices, like Harris County in Texas. So what has the left in such a tizzy?
Chances are if you say the word "Florida" to a progressive socialist leftist they will go into a frothing apoplectic rage. Now, I live in Texas and I wish that saying "Texas" would do the same, but perhaps that is the topic of another missive. Under the leadership of Governor Ron DeSantis, the State of Florida has truly become a thorn in the side of leftists. How dare anyone stand up to the left's agenda, and not capitulate to some doggone woke corporate fascist oligarch, like a Disney.

I pray everyone had a truly blessed Resurrection weekend; that is what this past weekend was about. It was about one person, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, laying down His life for us to have eternal life. Last week I was honored to narrate Haydn's string quartet, The Last Seven Words of Christ on the Cross. It was humbling to read and explain the meaning of Christ's final words spoken from the cross. As well, this weekend allowed me to reflect back on some other words, four of which are the title of this missive. They are words that some men and women have vowed over the years in America. They are the words that have committed these Americans to sacrifice and perhaps make the last full measure of devotion—to give their lives--so that others can have life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
